re: I figure an organization dedicated to human rights should be above such politics and partisanship, but apparently HRW isn't. Of course, HRW gets a free pass because of their humanitarian reputation, but the double-standard is glaring.

You are probably right.

I suppose the double standard of this administration, in going to war over human rights in one country, but not half a dozen others, is less glaring.
