I was not sure it had gone through! Yes, it is possible that Blix is right, and Saddam was hanging out a "beware of dog" sign, with nothing to back it, or that his minions were giving him false reports, but there is no doubt he acted guilty, and I would not be surprised if he were not dodging discovery at the last minute.......

So whose cover-up of convenience would that be? Bush's? Is this the string they're gonna pull. If Powell could show the UN pictures that he claimed were trucks moving WMD in and out and around Iraqi facilities, for sure he could and should show the pictures of trucks pulling WMD out of the country.

You really wanna play kick the can through all of those Middle Eastern nations. Hey, who knows, they might end up even hating us more!

Goldy, the only prudent way to go here is for America to get its clear, dangerous and gathering conflict of interest out of the way--and put Iraq's oil and reconstruction contracts under the jurisidiction of the UN. And we should offer the UN every bit of assistance possible to see if fair elections can take place.

Once this is done, enormous amounts of money should then be expended on educating Arab nations that America actually is a nation different than how we just presented ourselves with this illegal war on Iraq, that we overreacted due to the aftermath conditions of 9/11. An apology to the victims of this war would be appropriate also.

Part and parcel to doing this is declaring a campaign for global workers rights. End the greed-feed for our corporations and get down to practical nuts and bolts economic decisions that lift all boats, not just the few insider boats of those tied to the Bush Administration.

To do anything else will not only create more world terrorists, but will also, and sadly, create a very long line of Gold Star Mothers who'll be knocking on the front door of the White House demanding to know why their children have died, and what it really was that they died for.
