Do the Mars rovers store data on SanDisk flash memory cards?

The news reports say Spirit has 256 MB of flash memory but doesn't specify the type, NAND or NOR, or how it is packaged. Then when you read what little information is available it says the most likely source of the problem is the software used to control and access the data stored in flash memory. A second possibility is some of the data stored in flash memory was altered by a pulse of radiation. But none of the articles said anything about the flash memory itself being faulty. The primary use of flash memory on Spirit is for storing data. Spirit is put to sleep during Martian nights to conserve power. Some of the data collected during Martian daylight is saved in flash memory for transmission back to earth the next day. The majority of the Code used for controlling Spirit is stored in EEPROM.
