It was TA that first brought HLIT to my attention and that price action and volume over the last four days that has really impressed me. As far as fundamentals are concerned, I should preface my comments that I don't follow the cable industry closely. With that disclaimer, like HLIT's product line, particularly their strength in VOD, yet I remember writing a report in 1998 about how VOD (and VOIP, for that matter) were just around the corner and poised to fill the coming fiber pipes. As that error suggests, the accuracy of timing estimates for future services and revenue streams are critical to valuation here. Of course estimating the size of market opportunity may be even more difficult. I like the strong revenue growth, increasing margins and clean balance sheet. BTW, nice way to play the options.
