Oh, the irony!

Digrgug, I've been LMAO at your posts... I have a great sense of humor. Perhaps it's just beyond your ability to grasp? ;-)

>>Can't they find someone with HR experience??

Here's a few more bread crumbs. I was a founder of a non-technology company, holding the principal roles of CEO and CFO. As I managed the operational and financial side of the business and knew how to program in COBOL, I did some programming, too. When the business was sold, it had around 150 EEs (versus 3 in the beginning) in six locations in three states. I remained with the company as CFO for a few years until it was merged into one of the Fortune-10 companies, and then retired. If that makes me a "techie"... viva la techie!

Of course, Bob was aware of all of that when he asked me to take on the Admin role. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure it was my experience and contributions at SI, including my sense of humor, that were his prime motivators. That's why I was laughing at your earlier "LOL" rants... because I knew the joke was really on you!

Not to worry, though... it happens to the best of us. I've eaten my 10-1/2 dees on occasion.

Oh, and in regarding "someone with HR experience" - you do know that HR is usually there for the benefit of employees? And that the admin is here to help our customers? Thought you ought to know. <g>
