Michael,

Well said.

I would add one thing to the mix though regarding the cycle extending to 2007. I too see a longer cycle this time around, but one that may be pulled in once executives start seeing money being made and are no longer reluctant(as they are now) to spend money. Greed will in the end shorten the cycle I think. I am only predicting this based on human behavior which is all too consistent in this regard.

Another excellent post Michael. I'm not suggesting that a large correction is necessary to allow profitable entries for stocks now. We will eventually get a bigger correction. But it will be tempting to buy stocks soon enough if they sell off a bit more.

In fact I have already stated that I would be tempted to buy AMAT if it fell to 21.80 just a few days ago.

So far the low on AMAT today was only 34 cents higher than that price. So lets wait and see how this plays out. But remember that analyst upgrades and earnings outlooks will continue to happen right up to the ultimate top for stocks in this industry.

This remains a cyclical industry and regardless of how much higher we go from here 14 months of improving stock prices have already taken place.
