I hold little hope that expensive antiquated government institutions will be reformed, downsized or eliminated. Ever. I don't either. And what gets me is not Bush, but the House leadership. That is the key. They are supposed to be the green eyeshade guys. They have abdicated.

After three years of a republican administration and republican control of both houses, I hold little hope that expensive antiquated government institutions will be reformed, downsized or eliminated. Ever. The CBO seems to be a total waste. I used to be for the reorganization of the cabinet and executive agencies. After seeing how the Dept. of Homeland Defense has gone, I'm glad it was never tried. Would end up being more convoluted and expensive than before. Derek
