And since "Cap.Ex" is measured in GDP, I suspect it doesn't make a whole lot of difference if the American based companies expand in China, India, or the U.S. Our main advantage in the past with developing countries was our technology. Now we export that right along with the work.

Actually more people should talk to business owners and learn what is actually being done. These reports are misleading. One needs to visit industry to recognize the existing capacity. Labor has indeed been replaced. That has nothing to do with Washington in this case, it is because of technology. Technology has caused a huge decrease in labor from certain sectors. That labor has been picked up elsewhere, but at not the same wage...
