Thank you. You support my point. Government as it is set up now cannot manage money responsibly. Therefore it is stupid to want to give them more until they can. A total change in accountability is required. You are not a businessman so I know this is not your area of expertise. But to even suggest that it cannot be done is naive and a loser position. Controls can be put into place should Congress so permit.

At least we are now at the point of agreeing that neither party has been responsible.

Now the focus should be on what needs to be done. It is not, instead everyone wants to focus on two irrelevant poeople, Bush and whomever...a silly party thing. Until we look at the real problems and causes of those problems, we shall not solve what is actually causing the problem.

But, people are so into "candidates" and throwing money away that they have bought into it and no longer are good independent thinkers. They just think what their party wants them to...

tonto, what makes you think any Administration is capable of responsible management of money? Didn't happen under Reagan, or Bush 1, or Clinton or Bush 2. In fact, none of them was any better than the others. I am in close contact with a US government budget employee and know this is the case.
