AS,

As I expected, BS from beginning to the end. Lets start with facts. Federal income taxes on 70K income are 26%. There is no municipality in this country with effective income tax rate of 14%, which means you are lying.

Now lets move to your second point, which is that this is a tax rate on "normal income". The best approximation for "normal income" is median income, and figures are only available for households, not individuals. It happens to be $42K. Since household is composed of more than 1 income earner on average, you need to add your income if you live together, or to get some statistical number, you multiply by the average number of earners in an average household to map her figure to the known household income quintiles. Let me assure you that she would be in the top quintile, which is the group of people you want to be taxed higher

Well, again, under scrutiny, you are shown to be a pathetically confused individual and a liar. But you knew that.

I am not going to try to address the rest of the gibberish in your post.

Joe

AS, You really should learn to get your facts straight before spouting off such dribble!

The 400 wealthiest taxpayers pay about as much in federal income taxes as more than 40 million individuals and families at the bottom of the income scale, according to Internal Revenue Service data.
Those 400 taxpayers paid about $8.7 billion in taxes, more than enough to fund the State Department and its 30,000 employees in 250 embassies, consulates and other offices worldwide.
Meanwhile, millions of low-income Americans pay little or no federal income tax, or receive a share of more than $30 billion in tax credits for the working poor.

According to the tax code, your girlfriend is rich and is taxed accordingly to your liberal ways.

Open your eyes.
