first and foremost: TELL THE TRUTH.

second: cut spending

third -- not think of 9/11 as an excuse for a new social program -- instead allowed the negligence of those in the airline and government to be thoroughly investigated -- make sure some folks were fired

like asking what a junkie with end stage liver disease is supposed to do now...well of course, sober up and get on with it...doesnt mean that he will solve all his problems that he didnt deal with years ago....
