Context, 3. Context and 4. Context. The FACT that there are so many variations of the Christian religion shows that they can't agree on meaning Many unrepentant Sodomites claim to be Christian, pal. Howard Dean claims it (only when convenient). Heck, even you probably claim this. So then the many "christianitys" ought to come as no surprise to anyone. The FACT that there are so many variations shows only that humans are prone to self-deception. I find when believers hold their faith humbly and sincerely before God, He normalizes it such that it works with other believers quite nicely, even if those believers should disagree over some detail. The disagreements come as a result of ignorance that is innate to human flesh. But the Spirit within each true believer, despite the frailties of the flesh, knows when it encounters Itself in others. There aren't all of these legitimate "Christianitys" in the world, despite how it may appear to you. But you may believe this if it helps you sleep.
