This was the best conference call BakBone has had, especially compared to the last. There were 5 deals over $100k compared to none (if I remember right) last quarter - Yahoo!/South Korea, Yahoo!/North America and PacRim, Toyota, Sony retail in Japan and Malaysia Land Ministry. BakBone reports that Yahoo! has dumped Veritas to install NetVault for backup/recovery.

Upcoming deals with majors (HP, Dell, Apple, etc.) are ramping faster than expected and that put some pressure on expenses for the quarter so guidance is for earnings of .03/.04 for FY04. Revenue guidance is unchanged for next quarter at $7.9-8.9M implied. $8.9M revenue for next quarter would mean a 15% increase over Q3. A bit conservative, I think. I'm expecting their #1 position in Linux backup/recovery to add leverage to their future results.

No telling what the stock does but it should be steadily higher. I expected a sustained declined after last quarter's mundane report and CC - positive cash flow squelched that expectation. This was a seriously good quarter and CC. This stock was a great buy 9 months ago and is still an excellent buy for the long haul (6-24 months).
