Tonto.. the first I programmed to was a Siemens -4004/15 "Mainframe" no discs TOS (tape operating system) 15K memory. (that was in assembler, and with panel change of running programs during execution) - Then in 1971 COBOL on same machine upgraded to DOS(not MS) and 32K memory. Imagine what we went through to prevent the compiler from loading all sorts of subroutines,,, at times we had to replace multiplication with looped addition, just to get that 2K bytes more space available. The machine was in a special cooled room of some 100 square meters. MIPS was not an issue back then ;-) Didn't enter the PC arena until the mid eighties. Never owned an Osborne. But sure, I do remember that portable one. Kr Jens
