I understand fully. Those redcoats on the American continent were just hired hit men, to use your friend Ray Duray's phrase, and we really were b*****ds to insist they get off the real estate so we could establish our own gov't based on a Constitution with a Bill of Rights.

However, I can understand that you wish to cheer for King George. A lot of people did. Some stayed. Some became Canadians. And some, such as Benedict Arnold, went back to England. So you are hardly alone in your antidemocratic stance.
