I know that at the time, Vietnam veterans weren't getting the respect they are getting now. I know that these days, it's becoming "fashionable" to display your Vietnam veteran status. I know that the Democrat party are trying to play this up as an issue because they want to make Bush look like a draft dodger and thus soft on the military.

Good try. You started by criticizing Kerry, a man who volunteered for service in a war bush was hiding from. There is a lot more to the Vietnam war by the way than the disrespect for veterans at the time. This was a war that so tried the conscience of America...it was the war that should have taught our country that war is only and absolutely a defensive last resort. Your president dodged it...so how would he have learned that lesson. So here we are now in Iraq. That's the importance of the experience your boy preferred others to have.

Frankly, you and the other liberal partisans are using Vietnam for your own selfish political gain. That's what I know about Vietnam, and it's a heck of a lot more than what you're willing to admit to.

It is obvious that you know very little about Vietnam.
