Hi Lizzie,

Bush loses Nevada this time. It was fairly close last time. Some big things have happened since then.

First, he double-crossed the state on Yucca Mountain and even the Repubs are po'ed.

Second, Las Vegas, already the Dem strong hold, is growing into a little Florida with all the retirees and if they got it through their heads about what Bush is doing to them, there will be a lot of new Dem votes down there. BTW Nevada is the fastest growing state in the union because of that.

Third, And into northern Nevada, a lot of Bay Area and SV people have moved, bringing their social and environmental values.

Of course, the very low populated, cow counties are typical "red" counties but do not have a any political clout.

So it adds up to a few more e-votes for the Dems come November.

P.S. Yes the "cougs" are making a comeback throughout the west. :)
