Disposable income appears to be the only priority any more. Once Americans realize that providing more of that for America's wealthiest people does virtually nothing for average joe, they will vote for politicians that show an interest in hoi polloi.

I personally would like to see a ticket with Edwards in it somewhere. At least he would show an interest in keeping the trial lawyer business going which means the common man would still be able to sue a corporate entity that damages him. Also, Edwards seems to have become a populist since he started his run for the White House. Since big business would never tolerate a Kucinich or Sharpton, Edwards is the best choice for the common people.

Based on what I see so far, I doubt he will rise to the top of the ticket. So if you put a Kerry or Clark or Dean there, you end up with a wide appeal and someone who has true potential to step into the presidency in 8 years. A regular Democratic dynasty in the making here.
