But more importantly, it's a global competitive issue. Our school system teaches calculus in the Senior year, while India teaches it in 8th grade. So, the system is an issue. There's also not enough math teachers.

In my hi school, they taught calculus in my junior year but I get your point. If we are such laggards in the lower grades, how do you think people make up the difference in college?
