VOD/DoCoMo//AWE, either way WCDMA buildout happens sooner than other buyers, and without the "ocean of EDGE, islands of WCDMA" concept. But if Vodafone holds onto Verizon, they get all their global work done with sophisticated chipsets, and Qualcomm would probably be the supplier, maybe by default. And that should be less expensive to VOD by $30 billion. If Vodafone sells Verizon, what's their impetus to use Qualcomm chips globally?
