How do we get over the hump with these elections in iraq? I kind of agree with sistani. Imagine that. We also need the UN for this election process if only to assuage the shiites PLUS more security for all in the Triangle. Every morning it seems, i wake up to the loss of two or three americans, not to mention many innocent iraqi citizens. How do we stop and not just assert that things are getting better. We need proof of that. Americans are not believing that things are getting better. They are not believing their leaders. Bush is beginning to look a little like nixon--insulated from the public by advisors who tell him what he wants to hear. This is my greatest fear. Good first step is to get rid of cheney for health reasons and put someone on the ticket that adds something to the ticket. Cheney still can advise. He doesnt need the job. mike
