No no to saddam; no no to america is just fine with me if these folks can run things for themselves. Hope the country doesnt split into components though or stray to far from democracy. The big fault of american policy thought right now by this admin is thinking that iraq shiites will be a mirror image of what happened in iran.
First of all iran is visible history for the shiite leaders. And secondly, if one wants to keep iraq as a country, you can have rule by shiite ayotollah. The iranian ayotllah could maintain power in a homogenous country--in iraq it is impossible unless the choose separation which is unlikely. There are large numbers of shiites in bagdad and the triangle as i understand it. mike
