Maybe you haven't heard but welfare as we knew it no longer exists. None of the issues are about giving money to people who won't work for it. Nobody is for that. This is about letting the very rich keep all their spoils while socking it to the middleclass to pay off the debts created by letting the rich off so easily, plus massive spending, much of which benefits the rich and special corporate interests. All that spending and debt and a lott of 3 million jobs. Those 3 million jobs, plus the erosion of benefits and rising costs of health care sock it to the middleclass. The rich have no worries though. That's the Bush-Cheney America and it stinks.

"The only people that think they should get money for nothing are criminals. The only people that forward the idea that other people should get money for nothing are criminals. This is a very simple thing for you to understand. It's also important, because at the point where a society has gone the way of the criminals, the society is lost"

That is why I have always been strongly against our state lottery. It is ludicrous for a corrupting influence to be endorsed by the state.
