It depends. For example if Dean is very vocal about issues like extending unemployment for these desperate people in Michigan, (who appear to be really quite desperate btw)- then Dean will win black votes imho. Dean requested minority room mates in school. Some of those friends are currently helping with Dean's campaign. I saw one interviewed & he said he always enjoyed discussing controversial racial issues with Dean because his interest was pure intellectual curiosity rather than pandering. He added Dean would never back down from strong arguments on the racial issues as so many others who easily caved in & thereby proved his genuine concern to his friend. Did you notice that Mosely Braun directed her delegates to support Dean in Iowa. That should tell you something.
