Riiiight. Dismiss it as "fanatical" if it makes you feel better. As for me, I cannot forget the sting of thousands dead and entire lifetimes of work going up in smoke all at once. Your reaction (and most like it) is leftist inspired, the same reaction that allowed a plane filled with men to sit idle while savages slit the throats of the plane's attendants. Your approach and the excuses you use to justify it, simply has little basis in reality. I find it most reprehensible this idea of respecting and considering the views of people who would so easily murder others and/or support such murders, even verbally.

Over 3000 innocent people died in a single day, with billions of dollars in lost assets and productivity. They didn't die accidentally, as an unfortunate part of some act of war. They died because an idea designed specifically against them was put into action. Millions yet support this idea and many ideas like it. It is most inappropriate to negotiate with such people or to consider as friends those who would support their ideas even if only by feeling comforted when they are put into practice.

My reaction is completely warranted.
