You doubt that a physician has the stability to have his finger on the button? Are they issuing medical licenses to mentally disabled practitioners these days? What you saw in Iowa was just a disappointed candidate inspiring his troops to keep up the good fight. The national media (e.g. that epitome of calmness & decorum, Chris Matthews) over-reacted to Dean's Iowa speech. It's any easy time filler when you can take video clip out of context & replay it until viewers become nauseated. Bob Dole is respected by just about everyone both on the right & left & he said he did not understand the media's over-reaction to Dean's enthusiastic recitation of the states.

ChinuSFO,

re: ""Bush came in as an outsider in 2000."

Bush was never outsider. He was so tied to his poppy's friends, he even had them around on election night. Remember James Baker sitting his living room when CBS, I believe, gave Florida to Gore. He almost hit the ceiling upon hearing this, as he knew the "fix" was in.
