"Irrational fear is the faulty manifestation of the fear emotion when no realistic foundation for the fear exists." Historically the fear was justified for Jews and was not paranoia. Today the fear Israel manifests is irrational in that the foundation for this irrational fear, total destruction, does not exist since Israel has the means to defend itself. Note that I differentiate between Israelis and Israel. I don't doubt that Israelis are fearful but it is the obligation of Israel to reduce that fear not feed it. This is not served by the daemonization of the Palestinians.
