Carl,
I think the jury on iraq is still out. The hype on the war was little different from past wars except for the fact that the part hyped the most came from the least accurate intel. I do not believe that there was anything untoward in the hype of the wmds. WMD had the most traction with the american people and the bush admin used it just as the clinton admin would have under similar circumstances. My point is that exaggeration and lying should be removed forever. In a world on instant information, truth is the only way to go. I remember in business every so often i would lie a bit for competitive advantage. I havent done that for years. It rarely works and you always get caught.
