<how come inflation hasn't been in the official numbers already, russ??>

Which official numbers? You mean the phoney ones? The rear view mirror, horses out of the barn, ones? And why are you asking (re-asking) me this question? Don't you read my posts? I know misheldo has been picking this up, but are you still in denial about inflation?

Inflation is all over the PPI crude and intermediate goods numbers, they're all over the CPI (including food and energy), they're all over the regional prices paid reports like Empire State, etc. They're all over real time sites like Purchasing.com.. They're all over numerous company reports coming out. They're all over the slew of tracking sites in the header above. But, if you really must know, go back and read each and every post I've made here over the last two months. Or if you care to wait (or can afford to), start reading them henceforth.

<manipulation by Asia, why don't we have higher rates already??.>

Call it what you may. I suppose using the term "manipulation" might cause one to be dismissed as a crank, so I prefer different semantics. But just look at the BOJ buying, it's been running 50% or more of all the twin deficits issuance since Sept. That's not a real or "natural" market, it's an intervened "unnatural" market that is sending out false, distorting signals.
