Northern Europe has had mini ice ages from time to time -- one in the time of Elizabeth I. (If another one comes in the time of Elizabeth II, we're going to think that God really does have a sense of humor.)

Humans have survived each one. We'll survive another if it happens.

Not that we shouldn't be concerneed, and not that we shouldn't do what we can to prevent it. But as with other media-induced "crises," it wouldn't be the end of the world.
