Dean cannot be the outsider in league with Gore.
That's like Bush claiming to be a strong counter-terrorist while his father had breakfast with the Bin Lauden famly on 9-11 (a fact by the way). To much hypocrisy.

dean now plans to go negative against Kerry after criticizing ewveryone else for going negative while doing it himself. In fact Dewan went negative against the very DC insiders who are now taking overhis campaign. And Tom Harkin voted for the same things he's criticizing Kerry for.

stockman scott,
Yes, the announcement re Trippi was a surprise. Dean wanted him to stay in different capacity but Mr Trippi decided to resign. Sen Kerry replaced his campaign chair before Xmas as well & possibly that's the reason he's been successful. When one strategy fails it's wise to try a new direction.
One thing I've noticed in past few days is that Dean does not make sure he has a spokesperson on prominent TV interview programs. Last evening, one host(southern accent)had a rep from Kerry camp but not Dean's. Surely they were extended an invitation...but no one was there. Those kind of opportunities can win votes. Evidently, someone has been dropping the ball. The news coverage for Dean rallies was very thin....they need to cultivate media contacts--it's extremely crucial to grab public attention whenever possible. Maybe the new Gore guy will have the magic touch that's necessary at this point.
