.357 is nice and the fact that you can plink with .38 special ammo is good also. Much cheaper if you don't hand load. 9mm has shit for knockdown power and is just a high velocity 22 IMO.

I have the ruger 357mag. GP100 I believe the model is. For the money it's a damn good pistol. The 357 also has more than enough power and is a pleasure to shoot IMO.
