Yes JFK was arguably greater than any of them. He was certainly the most popular US president the world has ever known. He was a beacon of hope and light to the planet. All around the world people had posters of JFK in their homes. No US president has ever come close to that since.

He faced off the Soviet Union and was bringing an end to the harsh tensions of the 50's Cold War era. He did enter Vietnam, but he also reportedly had plans to pull out. He united the country as never before and united most of the world as well. If he had been given a chance, he might have ended the Cold War within eight years. He had that much charisma. Of course the right wing hated him out of sheer jealousy and that could have been his demise. Jealousy kills. PS - Obviously though Kennedy was not perfect, nor were any of them.
