You also have to give Teddy some slack after his two brothers were murdered. That could have been why he started drinking. I know Bobby's son David died of an OD after being traumatized as a youth by his father's murder. He was left alone in a hotel room watching the assassination on TV with no one to turn to. He was never the same afterward. The Kennedy men are no saints for sure anymore than cousin Arnold is, but the harm they do is mainly to themselves. So far as I KNow they have never helped industries gouge consumers, pollute the environment or sent us to war without proper planning or intelligence. GW was also ful of prisaes for Teddy when he used him to pass his No Child Left Behind (before carelessly leaving it as an undfunded mandate)
