I'd prefer to see a move towards direct elections and the use of technology such as the internet. Hmmm. Give Bill Gates the opportunity to choose the next President, eh? <g> Seriously, can you imagine how eagerly hackers would be trying to bust that system? Some just to prove they can, some to rig the elections. The DoD can't even design a secure system. Credit card numbers and other private data are stolen from secure sites with alarming frequency. You would trust 100 million on line votes to be 100% secure? You have more faith in technology, and less faith in hackers, than I do.
