I think I can help you with that one. Disk defrag requires you to have about 15% free space left on your hard drive. If you don't have that much it just won't work. Probably has something to do with the swap file I think I read once but just try cleaning your temp files and recycle bin. That might do it for you, if not you'll need to uninstall some software programs you have. How big is your hard drive?

You need a certain amount of hard disk space to defragment. Actually I keep my disks at around 20% used, and put excess stuff onto removable media.

You need to free up some disc memory space to defragment.
