the people who were conspicuous by their silence when Robert Kilroy-Silk was fired for his comments on Islam.

I'm not surprised. All that stuff about the "integrity" and "principles" at the BBC makes me sick. Meanwhile, Gilligan's boss is keeping his job. Will Gilligan? And will we see a mass walkout and firings?(edit: LB says no firings.) Would anyone notice they were gone? :-/ Tune in tomorrow...

Sambrook: staff were told he would remain head of news

Richard Sambrook will keep his job as the BBC's head of news, staff at the corporation were told at a meeting this afternoon.
