Esteban,

You wrote: <<Let me know what Disk Management reports.>>

Then it listed my CD and DVD.

I was told that Linux appropriates its own naming system for the drives. Linux chose E (System) & F (Active) drives. I don't think that means anything in the XP environment. I'm just sort of curious why XP setup chose to assign the letter "F" to a drive it normally would call "C".

I purchased a copy of PartitionMagic 7.0 which should be arriving in the mail any day now. I would appreciate hearing any helpful suggestions on partition numbers, size and function. A couple of features I'm looking at are a partition on the big drive to store a back-up of the little drive, where I'll be keeping all my documents and copy folders of Program Files. I also want to install a copy of Linux on a partition on at least the little drive. What are other sensible things to do with partitions? Links or personal suggestions from anyone would be welcome.

TIA
