Kerry voted for the biggest defense budgets of all time, but is cost-conscious about wasteful Pentagon spending especially on boondoggle projects which have nothing to do with realistic defense, of which there are always some big ones. If Kerry is elected expect a very smart military, better, bigger but a little cheaper, with more care paid toward the soldiers and vets. Not as many Star Wars and new nuclear programs though as Bushies are sticking our deficits with.

Expert Says Glass Is Major Threat to Birds

Not a problem where I live. A few less birds would be welcome here. The neighbors feed the crows. Nothing like an After Dining Crow Symphony about 5 PM. They never seem to be in tune. Must be the left overs the neighbors feed them.
