Athlone Minerals Ltd. ("Athlone" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that they have joined with Hampton Court Resources Inc. ("Hampton") for the exploration and development of the Amoeba gas prospect. Athlone will have a 75% working interest and Hampton will have a 25% working interest and be operator. Athlone will pay Hampton a total of $125,000 upon signing the agreement for its share of a geological study of the Amoeba prospect, a $10,000 prospect fee for each section selected to drill and a 3% GORR on 100% on all production achieved.

The Amoeba prospect is located within the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin and encompasses an area in excess of 250,000 hectares.

An introduction fee is payable on the transaction.

Athlone is a public company on The Venture Exchange with call letters "ATH" and The Frankfurt Stock Exchange ("FSE") with the call letters AK9.
