Once folks have formed their POV they are reluctant to change it. When it is challenged, the first impulse is to resist & frequently take umbrage against those who have a different POV. The stronger their original stand, the greater the umbrage. That's just normal human behavior. My problem with most of the issues I have debated here of late has more to do with allowing liberal media, liberal politicians & the liberal left frame almost every discussion selectively & disingenuously in order to distort reality, purely for political gain."How many times has the attorney gone into the courtroom with all the facts on his side, only to loose?" That is precisely one of my main points. People are becoming more & more willing to accept this type of attrocious behavior rather than take a stand against it. Deception, distortion & outright lying are no longer considered abnormal & outrageous, so it is practiced by a wider audience to their advantage. I cannot & will not accept this type of behavior."It is a fact that the public's perception of what the president is doing right now is questionable by a large group of Americans." Yup. Perfect evidence to support my position. More & more folks are wiling to overlook false perceptions of reality as a genuinely acceptable platform to frame debates. And look at who gets shouted down when this horrific behavior is legitimately questioned?"Sure Tim, you have the facts that support your POV, but to continue to use those facts as a hammer against folks who don't support your POV is not going to change their POV." I see no reason to change my POV when I present facts & credible evidence to support my POV, when those with different POV's want to avoid facts & reality at every turn, but put forth an alternate reality that simply never existed...... or resort to attacking the messenger, rather then discuss the issues responsibly, accurately & directly."It seems that simple to me. Okay?" Fine. It's not quite as simple as I've just laid it out here, but I think my POV is quite valid. And I've yet to see any legitimate reason to embrace the current deplorable use of relativism to justify living in an alternate reality.
