Aus - $10 or thereabout drops a week after the greatest announcment the comapny has ever made!!!

Remember one January 2001 I think when we had some ups and downs?????

Usually with SNDK the market seems to anticipate things quite well. Any chance that things are deteriorating do you think?

Best,

L

Nothing concrete, but it does sound like Motorola is going to be using something besides SD in a new handset. The logical place for an announcement like this would be either CeBIT or the CTIA shows....both in March.

So, the phone we all care about is the 710. Like the guy said, all they are doing is getting their GSM phones to work on CDMA, so the features that they have released on the GSM side are making their way over.

The 710 has a slot for a media card that is made by secure digital, so while the amount of onboard ram isn't finalized you can certainly add more!

It uses the latest qualcomm chipset (6100, 6500?) so it has 64 notes of polyphony, mp3 ability, and BLUETOOTH!

Now, the good news (for me not getting in trouble) is I have no clue if/when Verizon would launch this. He told me it was already in testing at Verizon but what do I know. All I know is I held the phone in my own two hands and I think it will be a great year for CDMA!

snip........

You are correct, it is a joint thing between SD and Motorola... dunno if it has a clever name like miniSD. I would have preferred plain old SD so it would work on my laptop!
