Art, no question WiFi is not a threat to Qualcomm. I am more concerned about the tactic used. I would not put it past the Chinese to use this as a test case to see how loud the rest of the world yells foul. If they get away with it in one area, they might use it as support for a similar attempt in another area. What is to prevent them from 'imposing' another layer of homegrown code on CDMA and then requiring that be on all the imports?

Plenty of ways to spin the eventual outcome, the important thing is to watch out for developing trends.
