Jane, society is a very random collection of individuals. The deviation amongst individuals about the bell curve may not be an apt representation, maybe the bell curve would group too many too close to the mean.

The interactions amongst individuals, their thoughts, their communications, their thoughts of their fellow person, etc. is what makes up society. Suppression of those activities is not societal.

I've never been a fan of clubs, moderated boards, exclusive anything. In the end exclusivity is self-defeating, fruitless, and totally devoid of common sense, let alone intelligence. It is totally defeative, and more or less contra to what the internet is really all about.

Now ..................

there is really only one person banned from this board, the other is banned just because of association. I wish I had control over who is banned and who is not, but I don't. At the same time there are large numbers of folk banned from that other board. That in itself says something.

Think about that and don't let it bother you.

If some over here do what is perceived to be stupid by others in the exclusive environment, so be it. If some over here do what is perceived to be something of intelligence by others so be it as well. That is the way it should be.
