Hmm that is the first I had heard about 5 Mhz possibly opening up at 800 mhz? Where did you hear that?

Good calculations on number of base stations needed at different frequencies. I guess it is doable at 2.1 Ghz if it is doable at 1900 Mhz (using 20% more base stations). But even though I am a big Sprint fan, they really aren't great in rural areas- just small towns. And if these companies have a mandate for rural coverage, it will be expensive. I pretty much tell people to use Verizon if rural coverage is what they want.
