Liz, I agree. There is no question that the US media is right wing controlled (and CBS has proved it with their fascist refusal to air moveon.org's ad). They will do anything to keep Bush and his fascist neoCONs in power. Including manipulating stories and smear campaigns. Americans need to wake up (and I know that is hard as most Americans get their news from the TV and not the Internet like you and me) and throw these bastards out and take our country back. No matter what!

What we need to beat Bush is a masculine war hero with superb accomplishments and smarts. I would have taken either Kerry or Clark but the right man is ahead now. Clark is not experienced enough to out-smart Bushies.

The Bush machine is conniving as hell. You have to know all the tricks to beat them and be able to emasculate them (symbolically of course). They want to run a campaign based on testosterone and flag-waving. But with Kerry running against them, they suddenly look like phony, frightened, corrupt wimps. That's why Kerry is going to win. But it's not going to be easy. The Bushies will hurl a thousand lies at Kery before they give up. They will try to cheat too.

Despite this, Kerry is geuninely not at all afraid of Bush and Bushies. After all he successfully prosecuted Iran-Contra. The same bunch of rogues. And when they were both at Yale, Kerry knows GW was a slough-off. Plus, the three times I have looked into Kerry's eyes as I had a talk with him, I was astounded and amazed to realize, this man KNOWS. He is ready. He knows he is going to be president and deserves it, and it's not even ego it's something a lotmore deep and genuine. That kind of confidence cannot be bought or pretended.

Kerry has Dubya beat: poll

nydailynews.com

<<...Fresh polls indicated yesterday that Sen. John Kerry was close to sweeping next week's primaries and also would be a formidable opponent for President Bush.

The survey by the American Research Group gave Kerry a one-point edge in a head-to-head matchup against Bush, beating him 47% to 46%, which is really a statistical tie.

The ARG had other numbers that were bad news for the Bush camp. It pegged his job approval rating at an all-time low of 47%. Equally disturbing for Bush was that his job disapproval rating, also at 47%, was alarmingly high...>>
