Interesting commentary posted by BS on my board on the FOOL
==============================
Okay, it's official.

I recall February of 2000 very well. I remember being in my dentist's office. The local talk radio channel was on, they were featuring the day's market recap. The receptionist started talking about her stock picks. Then the other guy waiting started talking about stocks. Then (I kid you not), the DENTIST came out from the back, pulled down his facemask thingie, and joined the conversation. It became clear to me that these people knew very little about the market, but all were making a killing in stocks.

In retrospect, it was the perfect "shoe shine boy" experience, where if you're getting tips from people who ordinarily wouldn't know a stock from a bond, it's time to bail.

Today I got a phone call from a buddy of mine. He wanted to know how to buy stocks... he wanted to open a brokerage account. It seems that all of his friends are making craploads of cash off the likes of Nortel and RIMM.

This time, I can see the signal loud and clear.

This can't be good. It's been said many times on this board, but I'm sayin' it one more time: we are very, very close to a top.
