sandintoes, Saddam is the end product of a strong man culture. He ruled by his soviet designed network of favors, oppression and deaths. Many African cultures are like that. Northern cultures evolved socially to make nature the enemy and this lessened the so called 'faction fighting', that still dominates African society. A search on google under "faction fighting" +africa brought back 1500 hits. this is typical. africa.iafrica.com Arabic cultures are a bridge culture with aspects of African culture and of Northern culture. That is what they must conquer internally, or the US invasion will fail to win hearts and minds. Bill
