Combat is always a life-changing event. Especially if you're in a hot combat zone almost getting killed, killing enemy and seeing your friends blown away. Kerry was in combat every single day for a long time with not much air support or safe harbors. His courage under fire is well known and that translates to the political battlefield. And also how he will fight for us all against special interests who corrupt our goverment.
