goldworldnet,
The economy has not really recovered as yet. There are continuing layoffs & zero job creation. Stock market might look better temporarily but there are already nervous sell-offs at prospect of interest rate hikes(which is inevitable). I cannot believe GW Bush is still pandering to Wall St by pushing his suggestion for social sec investment in stock mkt in order to please his billionaire Wall St friends. It's starting to look as though Greenspan is in their pockets as well. The same corrupt group, with loyalty to nothing other than capitalism, recently robbed 401Ks. Now that investors hesitate to jump back into market with both feet, they are pressuring WashDC to move social sec $s into stock market. If that happens...get ready for another heist.

VP Cheney has convinced Pres Bush that the only sure way to win re-election is to make every effort to buy the election with taxpayer funds. Studies have proven that more federal funds are returned to the Bush 2000 states than to Gore 2000 states. He also has included $200M for National Endowment for the Arts which was Repubs favorite outrage with which to bash Clinton. Now Bush/Cheney are playing the same game. They've traded the future of our grandchildren in for their re-election. Loyalty is usually a good thing but when it causes citizens to wear blinders, it's downright dangerous.
